A few years after this was released I wanted to kick myself.  The backup singers were 4 friends of mine; Lori Dokken, Judi Donaghy Vinar, Erin Schwab, and Debbie Duncan.  The album was called "Jam", as in a jam session.  It was going to be a fun upbeat album with no gospel songs.

Well, I didn't feel right not doing any gospel at all because God gave me the gift of music.  So I begged for one gospel song on the album.  Then I wanted 2 songs.  Then I met Dan Atler who let me record his songs for free.  Lori wanted to kill me because the album became a gospel album.  I didn't even realize it at the time.  I really meant to stay away from gospel.  A few years went by before I realized that it turned into the very gospel album that I originally agreed it wouldn't turn into.  (Oops)

If that wasn't bad enough, Glen Clark wrote and recorded a short song Called "Oh God".   I wanted to not only record it, but do my own arrangement of it.  Glen told me I could do whatever I wanted with it.  So I did an 8 minute arrangement that Lori did not want to record.  But it was the last song on the album and I begged her to death to do my arrangement of it.  She thought I lost my mind wanting an 8 minute version of "Oh God".

They reluctantly scheduled to record the song on 9/11/2001, but they were only doing one take, if they could handle singing "Oh God" for 8 minutes.  On that morning, our Country fell under attack, and all America could do was cry "Oh God".  That was really all anyone could say.  So being they couldn't stop saying "Oh God", they went into the studio and recorded it.  It became my dedication to 9/11/2001, and Manny people say it's their favorite song on the album.
