I love to line dance. This shot felt fitting for the album cover because we all have to turn around and face depression.
DEPRESSION AND LEARNING TO DANCE

Throughout my adult life I did a lot of public speaking.  I was a regular at the employment conference in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.  It grew over the years and at one point they had so many speakers that everyone only had 10 minutes to speak.  I wanted more time, we all wanted more time.  Some people used the opportunity to sell stuff, which gave me in idea.  I started doing albums that were specifically for the event.  This allowed me to put my talk on the album, and I could add whatever else to the album; songs, additional thoughts, and so on.  This gave me the ability to sort of use the live 10 minutes to promote the album.  It was a way of expanding my time without cutting into anyone else's time.

Depression to me is a timeless topic because everyone gets depressed.  As I was thinking of steps to deal with depression, the actions started to seem like a dance, and the depression seemed like the music.  So I named it "Depression And Learning To Dance", with the dance being how we cope with depression.  The talk came out well, and so did the album.
