I have a heart for truckers.  They are on the road so much that they don't have a home church.  When I was living in Warren Ohio, I wasn't far from a Petro Truck Stop.  I had never been in a truck stop, nor did I know they were open to the public.  My friend and I were on our way home, we were both hungry, so we decided to eat at Petro.  When we went in, I was shocked because there was a chapel and an entire ministry for truckers.

 

I quickly got involved and that's where I met Kelly Wickham.  Kelly is blind, sings, and plays a Q Chord.  My friend Blake Roberts programmed a few of her songs that she wrote, and Kelly and I would sing together.

 

There used to be a free album for truckers called "Highways And Byways", which had a bunch of funny stuff, and it told people about Jesus.  It inspired me to do an album for truckers because even if it only brings one person to God, it would be worth it.  I invited Kelly to be on the album.  Plus I wanted a story on the album so it would be similar to Highways.  My friend, the late Joybubbles, was the best story teller I ever knew, it was an honor to know him.  Selecting a story was hard because all of his stories were good.  I selected "Angels Among Us", because it shows how what could have been a bad situation, turned into a blessing for both people.
