At age 9, I was the youngest person in the world to do art using a typewriter.  The video will give you the jest of how it's done.  I actively did typewriter art until I was 21.  I still do art sometimes for special events.  I no longer have a typewriter, so these days I do it with my computer.  I prefer a typewriter just because it shocks people that art can be done using a typewriter.  I can actually do art using anything that has a printer; such add old adding machines, old calculators, old computer terminals, TTY/TDD, and so on.  I always found it easy to do.
